APEC Members

The Aqueous Process Engineering and Chemistry Group was established at the University of Toronto’s Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry in 1992 under the leadership of Professor Vladimiros G. Papangelakis. We are a diverse group comprising master’s and doctoral students as well as postdoctoral fellows and “seasonal” summer undergraduate students, all working on our own exciting projects while at the same time collaborating and helping each other via “brainstorming” sessions during our weekly group meetings.

We try to live up to the motto “Work Smart, Not Hard”. On the other hand, the passion for research might drive us to spend long hours in the lab and is not unusual to find some of the dedicated “APEC people” buzzing around their experimental set-ups very late at night (or very early in the morning).
